The Duke of Cumberland, Barham are absolutely thrilled to share the news that in the same month we were rated as “One of Kents Favourites” by Kent Live News, we have achieved a five star hygiene rating from Canterbury City Council!
On inspection of our premesis by food safety officers from Canterbury City Council on the 16th March, we recieved compliments on the transparency we show on our website with regards to our food safety certificates and allergen content of the meals we serve. Our website features a dedicated Allergies & Hygiene Page, designed and built by local web development experts Marzo Studio. This page contains information for those dining who wish to see ahead of visiting, our hygiene rating, food safety certificates, and an allergen chart which was kindly designed for us by Marzo Studio.
Head Chef and Landlord Zaf and Wife and Landlady Hattie were absolutely thrilled to hear the news that the Traditional Country Pub and Restaurant had achieved a five out of five star “Very Good” rating.
Zaf and Hattie expressed their gratitude to Canterbury City Council and added that “We hope that the updated food hygiene rating will give those dining confidence that we are doing our bit to keep everyone safe and healthy when dining with us, and help put the minds of our diners at ease that they are in safe hands here”.
The rating puts The Duke of Cumberland, Barham as one of a handful of pubs in the local area who hold a “Very Good” five star hygiene rating and one that we as a team are so proud to have achieved. We look forward to seeing you soon and hope you enjoy your experience dining with us.
